BARITE

GREY BARITE

Barite, also called barites or heavy spar, the most common barium mineral, barium sulphate (BaSO4). Barite occurs in hydrothermal ore veins (particularly those containing lead and silver), in sedimentary rocks such as limestone, in clay deposits formed by the weathering of limestone, in marine deposits, and in cavities in igneous rock.

It commonly forms as large tabular crystals, as rosette like aggregates of those crystals, or as divergent plates known as crested barite. Commercially, ground barite has been used in oil well and gas well drilling muds;

Barite increases the hydrostatic pressure of the drilling mud allowing it to compensate for high-pressure zones experienced during drilling. The softness of the mineral also prevents it from damaging drilling tools during drilling and enables it to serve as a lubricant. Uses: Barite is also used in a wide variety of other applications including plastics, clutch pads, rubber mud flaps, Mold release compounds, radiation shielding, television and computer monitors, sound-deadening material in automobiles, traffic cones, Brake linings, paint and golf balls

BARITE

WHITE BARITE

In the paint industry, barite powder can as the filler and increase film thickness, strength and durability. Lithopone pigment is also used to make white paint, which has more advantages in indoor use than lead white and magnesium white. Barite for paint industry requires sufficient fineness and high whiteness.

As for the barites, which is composited with barium sulphate is the most common mineral in industrial production. Usually the barite is presented in the form of crystal, such as tubular, so the barite can be gathered to show the form of rose.

In addition, barite also has many colours, such as pale white, light yellow, etc.
The paper industry, rubber and plastics industry also use barite as filler, which can improve the hardness,
Wear resistance and aging resistance of rubber and plastics. The barite filler for rubber and paper industry
Generally requires BaSO4 greater than 98%, CaO less than 0.36%, and not containing Magnesium Oxide and lead.

GYPSUM

GYPSUM LUMPS

PDS

Gypsum is a soft sulphate mineral also known as "spear stone", composed of calcium sulphate dehydrate, with the chemical formula CaSO₄2H₂O. It is also known as alabaster (a fine-grained massive form), satin spar (a fibrous variety of gypsum), or selenite (colourless transparent gypsum crystals).

Gypsum is often found in considerable thicknesses within evaporate sequences and in association with limestones and shales.

Large deposits of alabaster gypsum are commonly observed at the sole of many large-scale tectonic dislocations and thrust faults.

Gypsum is of great importance as a raw material in the production of cement and plaster for the building industry

GYPSUM

GYPSUM POWDER

PDS

While the majority of gypsum powder in Asia is used to manufacture gypsum panel products or building plasters, gypsum can also be used:

As a soil additive (sometimes called land plaster) to improve the soil's workability and receptivity to moisture, and to overcome the corrosive effect of alkalinity.

Tiles manufacturing, cement industry and many more place but it is not use as a main material use so it use is always in raw material Semnan Plaster 200 is finest Quality product, produced in Iran.

GYPSUM

CRYSTAL GYPSUM

PDS

Gypsum and Selenite have the same chemical composition but differ in crystallisation habit. Selenite is usually crystalline and the association of the impurities is superficial which are eliminated by washing.

Gypsum is fine grained in nature and is beneficiated by flotation only.

How can you tell gypsum from selenite?
A very simple hardness test will allow tell if selenite is real or fake. Selenite is a variety of gypsum and its hardness is so low, that you can scratch real selenite with your fingernail. Fake selenite is much harder as it is usually represented by glass or plastic, which cannot be scratched by a fingernail.

PRODUCTS

LIMESTONE

PDS

Limestone, sedimentary rock composed mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), usually in the form of calcite or aragonite. It may contain considerable amounts of magnesium carbonate (dolomite) as well; minor constituents also commonly present include clay, iron carbonate, feldspar, pyrite, and quartz.

Most limestones have a granular texture. Their constituent grains range in size from 0.001 mm (0.00004 inch) to visible particles. In many cases, the grains are microscopic fragments of fossil animal shells.

What are the uses of limestone?
Limestone is used extensively in road and building construction, and is a material found in aggregate, cement, building stones, chalk, and crushed stone.
